A few of the 30+ working mules and horses that winter on our place. They are beautiful. Speaking of beautiful, here we enjoy some lovely sunshine out in the yard.

Sunrise Easter service at the football field.  Our pastor Eli gave the sermon this year.  Next up - a trip to OKC to see the second home Eric purchased last month.

Here it is lit up with pretty landscape lighting.  It's two doors down from a previous house of ours.  Out for an amazing Mexican meal at one of the new restaurants in OKC.

And better still, I got to spend time with Desirae and Mom!  Here Desi
tries to fool my camera's facial recognition by wearing my glasses.
We had our 32nd wedding anniversary while in OKC.  Here Eric and I enjoy
dessert after a lovely meal at Cheever's.

I returned to Montana before Eric.  I tried to capture the reunion with Buddy,
but he was a blur of happiness.
There are a lot of muskrats in the lake this year.  They are adorable!

Buddy is trying to guard the back yard, but it's sleepy work. The ditch is on!  Here it is running high in the Hillbilly Hot Tub.

A dangerous clog at the drop.  This could cause serious problems and I wasn't strong enough
to clear it.  Nephew Lane came to the rescue and got it cleaned out.
April was a month of 70's, then snow, then 70's, then sleet.  This bluebird
was not best pleased.

Hopefully the last snow we'll see this year.  The longhorns are back!  And Eric has returned too.  Sweet Pea still loves us after a winter apart.

Rendezvous Days - it's a huge festival with tons of activities, but of course I mostly stay at the
quilt show.  Here I am standing between two of mine. I only entered 4 quilts this year.
This Glacier Park quilt won a blue ribbon! It was in the Panel Quilt category.

I just love this quilt, I found the panel in Branson, MO and made up the pattern.  This was my other quilt in the show, called, "Sundown".

My two favorite quilts in the show - Annie's beautiful rose quilt here. And Christine's beautiful star in bold colors with amazing quilting detail.
This one won "Best of Show" - it was gorgeous!

Speaking of gorgeous, we held the auction for this beauty over Rendezvous
weekend.  It sold for $2,600!  It's totally worth that much too.
A professional shot of the new event this year - rubber duck races.  I didn't win.

Rubber duck cleanup. Looking at some cleanup work Dan did with his excavator on our property.  It looks great!

This is what I love - blue skies, green grass, and longhorns grazing near the house.   My great aunt found some old family photos that include this one of my Mom's Dad Hubert.

Mom's aunts and uncle - Linda (Frog), Noble Lee, her Dad Hubert, Faye, and Ina. A big, starburst-style quilt I made this month.

There was a huge event this month in Oklahoma City for my Mom and sister Desirae.
Mom was selected as one of onlyl 7 designers to participate in a Native American
fashion show.  Desirae was a model and also made a lot of the jewelry for the models.
I was so thrilled that Eric and I could attend in person!!!

This is "team Mom" before the show. Mom did all of her outfits in pairs - a matching man's and woman's set.

This outfit shows Mom's support of the MMIW (Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women)
 awareness movement.
Mom poked the holes and tied the strings by hand to make every piece of that shawl fringe.

My beautiful sister, Desirae, sporting a beautiful skirt and matching guy shirt on her friend.  The models (except Desirae) were Mom's co-workers.  That ladies' tie
with matching skirt was one of the first things Mom made, years ago.

This outfit was really cute. And they got the most outgoing models to show it off.

After all the models had walked, then the brought Mom out to be applauded.   I love this picture - it shows her seeing me and Eric in the crowd!

My two favorite women. Family photo.  I was SO proud of Mom's huge accomplishment.

Mom's friend Kayla, her "supplier" (of fabric and ribbon) and an early
encourager of Mom's fashion design.  She drove over 3 hours one-way
to be there for Mom's show!
Lots of photos with friends afterward.  This one includes Levita, one of Mom's best buddies from
the "tribe" running group.  Also Mom's boss Brittany.

Mom hates this photo, but I think it's so cute.  Her pants look like a skirt
so she was showing off that they are actually culottes.

Congratulations Mom!  Yet another thing you've accomplished successfully.
You are the woman!
