| Eric was sent to Hildago (near Monterey) in
Mexico for a field trip. Afterwards, the crazy nut had them drop him
off at the climbing area 30 miles away. He didn't speak the language,
have a place to stay or a ride to the airport, but naturally he made friends
and ended up having a wonderful time. He did his first multi-pitch
climb there. (Translation for non-climbers: really, really high up!) |

| This thing is really tall, like 500 feet, and Eric climbed to the top of one of them and stood on the very peak. I told you he was crazy! | |
