My friends Amy & Julio came over from the U.K. for Jazz Fest this year.  Laura Faulkenberry came over from Houston and I went down for a short but great weekend.  New Orleans was looking great and I had one of the best Jazz Fest days ever in my 9 years of attending.  The weather was great, the music was smooth, and the friends were fun.  it was a great time.

My niece had sent me Flat Stanley right before I left on this trip so I was very happy to bring him along.

Jordan (Amy's sister) Julio, and Amy The gang out for a wonderful dinner at Mr. B's

The first day of Jazz Fest 2008 and we're among the first in the gate - woo hoo!

This will be me & Amy in about 30 years!  Rufus "Rip" Wimberly - 82 and still playin' the Blues

The crew, a strange guy behind us, and the sun peeking through  Julio saying, "Now this is how to enjoy a Jazz Fest"

The happy couple The Acura stage where we heard Robert Plant & Alison Krauss

This is a group I made friends with years ago on the flight to the festival.
I go visit them every year and they are such a great group.  Here we see the
"before" and "after" Bedazzling version of their official group T-Shirt.
This is one of the gang sharing some top-shelf Tequila
with an appreciative Laura.

Storm clouds brewing over the port-a-potties, but thankfully no rain! Back in the Blues tent for some great tunes.

Tab Benoit (pronounced Ben-Wa)
